loved.

This family was so fun! They reminded me so much of my own family :) I get asked all the time how are you so patient with these kids? My response: um, maybe you should meet MY family! ;) Meet the Mangam and Greene family:

Look at this little face! Presh :)

cutest little twins ever? um yes. how did we accomplish this shot? luck. strickly luck :) (and yes, thats snow on the ground. Told ya, I’m a little behind posting :-/)

Mom and Dad had to set them free to run, it became a little game:

See? they came back ;)

jail bait. ;)

eat your hearts out boys.

Kivi & family: Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph your family, again :) You are so fun and loved!

hold on tight.

I think we did this shoot on one of the coldest days of December. It was freezing! It was the first day that we actually saw a few snow flurry’s before it turned to hail. But these awesome troopers rocked it anyway, Laina (the little girl) would sit there and never cried, but would just shiver, her little chin would move 90 mph, I felt terrible! It was killing me. Buttttt I really do think, it paid off ;)

First we got some pictures alone of Josh, Ashley & Laina. A little later, Ashley’s sister and her family came up for some group Christmas pictures.

Confession: I would like a pair of these boots for myself.

Seriously. Frame next picture. Blow it up. Huge. She is stunning.

how can we say ‘no’ to a hug for Pooh? oh melt my heart.

A sucker makes everything better, right Laina? Right.

And here is Brittany (Ashley’s sister) and her son Brody. Brody says he’s cold too :)

But Dad warms him up :)

The hairbows, tutu, and Christmas outfits worn in this shoot were made by Ashley. She owns Hunni Bunni Bowtique and Charming Impressions. She’s so talented :)

Ashley & Family: I loveee you all, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity, I hope 2011 is the best year for you yet!

love.

They’re married! I’m so, SO happy and excited for them! This was the 1st wedding that I went as a solo shooter, I was SO nervous, I’m pretty sure I was more nervous than the bride and groom combined. But when I got there, and realized how calm and content they both were, I felt this wave of relief wash over me. I survived ;) They were married on a gorgeous fall day at a park out in Weddington.

I tried to narrow down my blog post so it wasn’t overwhelmingly long, and it just didn’t work, so get ready for a long one! :) {oh yeah, part 2 is coming soon!}

Mother of the bride :)

I know this picture is far from perfect with the lighting and shadows everywhere, but I just can’t turn down a laughing picture, I love, LOVE this picture for that reason.

so typical :)

macon+rana {engaged!}

I’ve known Macon my whole life… no seriously, as in I don’t even remember when we met because he was always at my house hanging out with my brother, or I was at his house hanging out with his sister.

And I’ve always known that when Macon found that girl {THE girl}, she would be something special. And I’m pretty sure she’s exceeded that :) Those little looks they give each other, or the smile that makes the other just burst out laughing; she has a special place in my heart for making him so happy.

Rana, seriously gorgeous.

We got some pictures with the babies :)

love that blue sky in contrast with those yellow shirts!

These two will be married next month, and I can’t wait! I’m so excited to see what the future holds for them :)

fireworks!

I hope everyone had a great 4th! We have been SO busy at work, and I’m not complaining, but after running all week, all I wanted to do was stop. I just wanted to relax, and not have to rush anywhere, and really just relax all weekend. So, thats what I did. :)

I went to the Unionville Parade, to my grandmothers for her 85th birthday party!, to my friend Brittany’s for her birthday, to Oakboro to watch fireworks, to Pine Lake Country Club to watch fireworks, and to get pedi’s with my sisters :-D

Since my grandmother is diabetic, she had a watermelon cake :)

Pine Lake seriously had the most gorgeous sunset ever for fireworks. It was perfect! Get ready for tons of firework pictures, I couldn’t get enough of the coloring :)

corn fields of love.

These 2 lovebirds are getting married on Saturday.

When I had originally talked to Brooke about doing their engagement pictures, I asked her the same thing I normally ask my clients –> do you have an idea of what kind of pictures you would like? Walking through downtown? Country setting? Or maybe a little of both? And she says “well actually, my family owns a huge farm, I was hoping we could do it there”, ummmm YESSS! I’m nearly positive she could hear my squeals of excitement on this.

After numerous texts and phone calls about the rain looming and threatening to stick around,  we finally decided on going that Saturday morning at 8:30.  Brooke and I were ready to go off the bat, but Brent had other ideas. He thought it was a better idea to sleep later while we waited on him, haha!  I love these two.

um, seriously the most gorgeous house ever. this was brooke’s grandparents house, and i absolutely LOVE it. i think its perfect. oh and i want one just.like.it.

Young family!

There are very few things that make people hate the park on a spring day, except 1.) swealtering heat and 2.) having your picture made in the swealtering heat. Buttttt they pretty much rocked it, and never complained. {i was definitely the one mumbling in disgruntal}. I absolutely love, LOVE this family.

Considering I’ve never done a family session of this size before. Sherry>9 kids>1 grandkid. Thats 11 people, people. Just know I did the best I could, in the fastest possible time that I could.

Now, for the pretty/handsome-ness:

{i hope i look this good when i have grandkids! beautiful.}

Rachel.is.stunning.

{then I caught this one of her, & I seriously love it ;) }

I remember Lottie when she was a baby, it makes me feel so old to see her so grown up, she’s so pretty!

I He was wanting a pool.

I think it’s safe to say: he’s loved. :-D
