matt+tricia

These two were married on a gorgeous January day, in a cozy little church right outside of Monroe. I met them through Matt’s family, I didn’t really know Matt, but I knew his parents. So Matt’s mom called me, and said “I want you to talk to my future daughter-in-law about wedding photography!”, okay yay! So Tricia and I talked for a while, and then talked again on facebook later, and we realized we were actually distant cousins. Ah, small world! Our grandparents are first cousins, sweet!

I brought along Dallas (my 15 year old brother) as my assistant, and since he loves photography, I let him do some 2nd shooting. I was in loveee with the images he got. I’m such a gushing older sister! ;)

this is Tricia’s sister – Katie. I’m so, so jealous of this girls hair.

Tricia & Matt: Thank you SO much for letting Dallas and I help celebrate such a big day in your lives. We had so much fun with you and your families!

country living {part 1}

Mick & Nancy are two of the sweetest and most hilarious couples I’ve ever met. I loved every minute of this shoot.

Mick had to get some pictures of his Duster, I think directors of Western movies will be jealous… just sayin’

Mick told Nancy to stand in the bucket, and then he jarred it a little bit and got a sassy response; love it! hahaha

Mick & Nancy: thank you for being such fun sports, you were so much fun!

love.

They’re married! I’m so, SO happy and excited for them! This was the 1st wedding that I went as a solo shooter, I was SO nervous, I’m pretty sure I was more nervous than the bride and groom combined. But when I got there, and realized how calm and content they both were, I felt this wave of relief wash over me. I survived ;) They were married on a gorgeous fall day at a park out in Weddington.

I tried to narrow down my blog post so it wasn’t overwhelmingly long, and it just didn’t work, so get ready for a long one! :) {oh yeah, part 2 is coming soon!}

Mother of the bride :)

I know this picture is far from perfect with the lighting and shadows everywhere, but I just can’t turn down a laughing picture, I love, LOVE this picture for that reason.

so typical :)

Justin & Jennifer got hitched :]

Once upon a time, there was this girl and boy at a bar with separate groups of friends….they met by blurry accidental waves of hello, and they have been inseparable since.  And they lived happily ever after with their vicious daughter Bella.

Jennifer and I have been friends for several years, and the same night we met, she told me she felt like we had known each other our whole lives.  She’s been one of my best friends since.

The wedding was beautiful, fun, happy, and kind of sad all at the same time. On Thursday, 2 days before the wedding, Justin’s grandmother “mar-mar” passed away. It all happened quickly, just 3 weeks ago she was at the beach with her family.

In memory of Jennifers grandfather and uncle, and Justins dad and grandmother, she was given 2 lockets to wear on her bouqet. Each locket had 2 pictures inside of the family members. At least we know they are in a better place now.

Congratulations Justin and Jennifer! I love you two. :]

And more to follow soon :]
