Ah, you see, this was a little personal reminder on how much work I have left to do :) I’m so thankful.. SO thankful. YOU are the best.
And I’ll get on a regular blogging schedule one of these days. For real.
love, -m
note: I’m not planning on booking anymore shoots for the month of March, I work 45 hours a week at my daytime job and then only book shoots on weekends, and after such a busy February I’m slimming down March to catch up on my life
But in April I’ll be back at it! Email me if you’re interested in booking
They met through friends in college, now his job has taken him to Chicago, and her’s keeps her in Greensboro. They plan to marry this fall, and I couldn’t have been more excited to take their engagement pictures! Ok, enough talking, time to indulge in their love through images
stun.ning.
Work that sass girl
Daniel is a hobbiest pilot, and Lauren is on her way to getting her license too, so naturallyyyy we went to Goose Creek Airport for some shots with the airplanes
Daniel specifically requested this next picture, he said he saw it in a magazine once, and he just HAD to have it with his best friend. So. Sweet.
This orange plane is Daniel’s baby. He and his dad rebuilt it. It was his first plane. Saweet.
Ahh here they are; one of the sweetest and prettiest/cutest couples I know.
They are celebrating their love in June by marriage. I couldn’t be more thrilled for them, I can’t wait to see their futures unfold together! Oh, and they are prettyyy hilarious too. Love them.
This next one was all Tyler’s idea, but I’m digging it.
Tyler is a Charlotte Firefighter, so we hit up the station in NoDa like we were old pals.
Mick & Nancy are two of the sweetest and most hilarious couples I’ve ever met. I loved every minute of this shoot.
Mick had to get some pictures of his Duster, I think directors of Western movies will be jealous… just sayin’
Mick told Nancy to stand in the bucket, and then he jarred it a little bit and got a sassy response; love it! hahaha
Mick & Nancy: thank you for being such fun sports, you were so much fun!
I think we did this shoot on one of the coldest days of December. It was freezing! It was the first day that we actually saw a few snow flurry’s before it turned to hail. But these awesome troopers rocked it anyway, Laina (the little girl) would sit there and never cried, but would just shiver, her little chin would move 90 mph, I felt terrible! It was killing me. Buttttt I really do think, it paid off
First we got some pictures alone of Josh, Ashley & Laina. A little later, Ashley’s sister and her family came up for some group Christmas pictures.
Confession: I would like a pair of these boots for myself.
Seriously. Frame next picture. Blow it up. Huge. She is stunning.
how can we say ‘no’ to a hug for Pooh? oh melt my heart.
A sucker makes everything better, right Laina? Right.
And here is Brittany (Ashley’s sister) and her son Brody. Brody says he’s cold too
But Dad warms him up
The hairbows, tutu, and Christmas outfits worn in this shoot were made by Ashley. She owns Hunni Bunni Bowtique and Charming Impressions. She’s so talented
Ashley & Family: I loveee you all, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity, I hope 2011 is the best year for you yet!
For the first time this year, on Christmas morning my siblings actually suggested that we read the story of Jesus’ birth. Just like around Easter we read of his death and do communion, this year on his birthday, we read of his birth. I thought it couldn’t have been a more perfect time to remember the real reason of Christmas. I think we should make it a tradition.
Every year, we get together with my mom and dad’s sides of the family. Usually with my dad’s on the weekend before, since Christmas day is usually so busy for everybody. This year my grandmother (dads mom) was able to come with us for the first time in 4 years. She lives in a nursing home, and can’t walk, so we can’t usually get her there. But this year my family thought of renting a ‘medi-taxi’ to get her there. When I originally told her, she started crying and said “don’t worry Mallory! These are only tears of joy.” She was so excited to get to come, and we were so excited to be able to get her there. Before we left to see the family, I went over and did her hair and got her all dressed up. Every time someone would say how pretty she looked, she would respond with “well I just can’t help it!”.
My mom, dad, brothers and sisters with Mawmaw.
Then on Christmas day we always go to my mom’s parents house, better known as ‘Mum & Pop’s’
This is my mom, mum & pop, her sister, and her brothers.
mom and dad, and all my moms brothers, sister, and spouses (except for Shannon who had ran home to get something so she isn’t in the picture)
And here we are, the majority of the grandkids
(except for Cody & Whitney, Cameron, Autumn, Jeremy, and Kane)
I love this series of Mum & Pop
anddd favorite
Justin & Brandy: Thank you AGAIN for letting me spend time with you on your special day! You two rock, for real.
I wish the ultimate best in your life together!
cake: by Shawna Stegall

she don’t want it!
It’s Thanksgiving night, and I’m stuffed. At this point I think I’ll be doing good to be eating by next week (psh yeah right); but point made.
All day I’ve thought about all I’m thankful for, and I honestly couldn’t even try to tell you the whole list; but at the top is definitely my freedom of faith, my unrelenting supportive family, my friends, and you reading this too. Whether you allowed me to be your photographer at some point this year, whether you’ve only read my blog, or whether you’ve commented here or on facebook. You have no IDEA how much it means to me. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I’m feel so blessed, and each and every day I pray to be lead in the direction God tends for me to go, even if it isn’t doing photography. Sometimes it’s good to remember that a prayer never goes unanswered, if only we could realize when they are answered in a way thats better than what we asked for.
I love you. From the bottom of my heart; I really do love you. xoxo
{here is a shot from a shoot I did today, it’s so good to love life and each other so effortlessly
