matt+tricia

These two were married on a gorgeous January day, in a cozy little church right outside of Monroe. I met them through Matt’s family, I didn’t really know Matt, but I knew his parents. So Matt’s mom called me, and said “I want you to talk to my future daughter-in-law about wedding photography!”, okay yay! So Tricia and I talked for a while, and then talked again on facebook later, and we realized we were actually distant cousins. Ah, small world! Our grandparents are first cousins, sweet!

I brought along Dallas (my 15 year old brother) as my assistant, and since he loves photography, I let him do some 2nd shooting. I was in loveee with the images he got. I’m such a gushing older sister! ;)

this is Tricia’s sister – Katie. I’m so, so jealous of this girls hair.

Tricia & Matt: Thank you SO much for letting Dallas and I help celebrate such a big day in your lives. We had so much fun with you and your families!

They met through friends in college, now his job has taken him to Chicago, and her’s keeps her in Greensboro. They plan to marry this fall, and I couldn’t have been more excited to take their engagement pictures! Ok, enough talking, time to indulge in their love through images :)

Work that sass girl :)

Daniel is a hobbiest pilot, and Lauren is on her way to getting her license too, so naturallyyyy we went to Goose Creek Airport for some shots with the airplanes :)

Daniel specifically requested this next picture, he said he saw it in a magazine once, and he just HAD to have it with his best friend. So. Sweet. :)

This orange plane is Daniel’s baby. He and his dad rebuilt it. It was his first plane. Saweet.

love.

They’re married! I’m so, SO happy and excited for them! This was the 1st wedding that I went as a solo shooter, I was SO nervous, I’m pretty sure I was more nervous than the bride and groom combined. But when I got there, and realized how calm and content they both were, I felt this wave of relief wash over me. I survived ;) They were married on a gorgeous fall day at a park out in Weddington.

I tried to narrow down my blog post so it wasn’t overwhelmingly long, and it just didn’t work, so get ready for a long one! :) {oh yeah, part 2 is coming soon!}

Mother of the bride :)

I know this picture is far from perfect with the lighting and shadows everywhere, but I just can’t turn down a laughing picture, I love, LOVE this picture for that reason.

so typical :)
