Addi – 6 months

Can you believe this little precious is already 6 months old?! You’ve only seen her on my blog 3 times in her 6 months of life ;)

At first we started out in some pretty harsh light, and I was just not digging them at all..

So we moved to a shadier spot, and bam! Her eyes made magic.

We had a little 4th of July themed shoot, seriously presh. Carrie said “I feel like such a bad mom for putting her in a bikini.”  Oh, no Carrie you aren’t; whats the difference in this and naked baby pictures? I LOVE the little bikini :)

We laid her down in the grass, but apparently she didn’t think it was too cool. So this is what she did:

So what do I do? Take advantage of the rolls ;)

EEEK, look at that belly! So adorable :)

brandon+laura {married!}

Remember my friends Laura and Brandon? They were married this past Saturday, and even though I wasn’t their photographer, I couldn’t help myself from snapping a few here and there ;)

And I’ll say it again; I can’t think of a more perfect match than these two, they are just adorable.

I know it’s blurry, but how can you not love it anyway? :)

title unknown.

Today, I don’t really have anything cool or inspiring to say. I’ve just spent most of my rainy day shopping with my mom and sister, and basking in the glory of having the weekend off for the first time in forever. I hope your having a fabulous weekend too! :)

For Japan, With Love

For Japan With Love is a site created by Lucia from Utterly Engaged and Lydia from Ever ours - they are helping raise awareness for Japan. The For Japan With Love site has a direct link to the ShelterBox fundraiser page. ShelterBox was one of the first organizations contacted by Japan to help, and they were on hand on the Saturday after the quake.

Also to raise awareness, they are having a silent bloggers day tomorrow, March 18th. So I’ll be skipping the blog, showing respect, and hoping to raise even more awareness to all their devastation, and to the help they need. Dig in those couch cushions and say a little prayer; help spread the love.

Weddington Warriors

When Renee called me and asked me to take pictures of her son {Scott’s} football game, I was beyond excited! I told her that I had never done anything quite this big, and that I would do the best I could. I knew it would be tough, but I definitely didn’t prepare myself quite enough. I always thought I wanted to be a sports photographer, but if thats the case, I need to buy my own football gear.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love football; its a sport I could watch for hours if I had the time. So by the time I got to the game I was so nervous/excited/anxious that I didn’t know what to do with myself. We got a few shots of the bricks & plaque dedicated to the Difabion family.

Then we moved on to the field, the guys were out practicing, and at this point I still felt pretty good about it. The lighting was workable, I was in a good position for the shots, and in no real risk of being trampled…yet.

I love everything about a football game; the band, the excitement in the stands, the cheerleaders contagious cheers, even the sound of the football gear clacking into each other as they wrestle the ball to the ground.

I love this next one, the enthusiasm is irreplacable.

But the part I didn’t prepare myself for is the cold; my lens kept fogging. And then trying to shoot across a football field at night is hard. So I would finally get a shot like this, and get so exiteddd! I felt the adrineline.

But thenn… I realized they are not slowing down, and I’m directly in their path. And just to add; these are not little boys, these are mearly wrinkle-free-full-grown-men. And terrifying when they are running towards you and you are trapped between them and the cheerleaders; not wise Mallory, not wise. So luckily I survived that, but not so lucky was the cheerleader behind me, she and one of the players collided.

I know this next shot is a little blurry, but I LOVE it, it just says so much. And it looks a little vintage to me.
