they are engaged!

Ryan+Dana | engaged!

I’ve deleted and re-wrote this post at least 10 times now. The bottom line is, maybeeeee I’m biased, but I think I have the best looking couples ever. From the first time I opened Dana’s email, I was definitley pretty sure we were guna become bff’s before this was all over with. 1 point for me!  So ready for their November wedding to get here already! :)

This shoot was done in Blowing Rock, NC – ahh such gorgeous scenery! Thanks Lindsay for coming to help me!

jerrod+libby | engaged!

My head is hanging in shame. I’m embarrassed. I know I haven’t blogged in nearly 2 full months. But I am right now, that’s what counts right!?   YES!

I thought I would post Libby & Jerrod’s engagement session. Funnest/Cutest. Couple. Ever. I’m so sad I was already booked for their wedding day – because that will be epic. These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other!

A special thanks to Morning Glory Farms for letting us use their gorgeous venue!

rick+britney | engaged!

The minute I got out of my car at Rick’s parents house, my adrenaline started pumping. Britney came up and said is it okay if we get in the truck and drive around the farm? Um, definitely okay. So the 3 of us + Kodi the rotweiller set out on our adventure. We stopped by Rick’s sisters house to meet up with her and her husband; they led us over the hills and through the woods by a 4-wheeler. I kinda felt like I was on a safari… Except in Marshville.

THEN, I overheard a conversation between Rick and his sister Dawn, and really the only part of the conversation I heard was yeah down past the bus. And my attention snapped to them and I dove right into their conversation by saying wait! you mean an actual school bus?! Absolutely. Not only was this an old school bus, but Dawn’s husband and his friends childhood clubhouse. Jeal.ous.

loveee.

Sweet couple, cute sign, and an antique Bible that’s been in the family for generations? Um, yes. Please.

We added Kodi in for some shots; I totally adore this one.

favoriteee!

Colton+Ashton {engaged!}

It’s October 31st, 2010. We are at a Halloween party. She comes prancing in. She’s dressed in jeans, cowboy boots, a camoflauge t-shirt and ball cap. She has the legendary Browning emblem painted on her left cheek, her long brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and a plastic pop-gun rifle was sported up on her hip. Ashton is the cutest hunter you’ve ever seen. After she walks through the door, she steps to the side and makes room for her boyfriend to come dancing through the door. He has music playing loudly from his phone to make the act a little stronger. He’s dressed in kacki shorts that come right above his knee’s, and white socks just short of his bare knee caps. He’s wearing a green and white plaid shirt that someone could have easily rocked in the 70′s, adorned with a comb in the breast pocket to periodically fix his perfectly side-parted, slicked down hair. His large-and-in-charge coke bottle glasses, brown loafer’s, and his thumbs hooked midway up his suspenders pulling them outward, topped of his act. Yep, Colton made the perfect nerd.

He’s in the middle of the sunroom at my aunt’s house, with the radio playing loudly, and breaking it down like nobody’s business; continuing to play the nerd part perfectly in his dancing techniques. He laughingly yell’s, Big’n, (a childhood nickname by her dad) come dance with me!  She just sat off to the side and smiled sweetly at him and yelled back no honey, you go ahead and dance your little heart out!

And it was then, in that very moment, that I realized it was real. Ready or not. It’s real. They are in love. And she’s definitely, the one for him.

My brother is getting married in less than two weeks. TWO. I’m ready. I think. If I could just get my overanxious tears to agree with me, then we’d be fine.

The only negative thing I’ve learned so far, is this over-emotional older sister of 13 months, has to go through these emotions 5 more times. 1 down, 5 more to go.

Justin+Jessica {engaged!}

I absolutely loved every second of hanging out with these two.  Within 5 minutes of meeting them, I knew they would be awesome. They were so down to earth, so in love, and so. awesome. I adored how much they laughed, and effortlessly and generously loved on each other. When I pulled up on their family farm, I’m pretty sure I started squealing to myself. It was gorgeous. SO, so gorgeous. You will also notice, this is one of the hottest couples ever. For real.

*sigh…*

Whoa. Jessica, your beautiful :)

LOVE.

Quick, cuuuute outfit change, and back out for round 2.

Sorry boys, she’s obviously taken ;)

Justin, in case you’re wondering, you rocked looking UN-awkward. :) I’m definietly pretty sure you two should be models.

Jessica+Justin: thank you so much for asking me to photograph your love. I hope your wedding day is everything you could have dreamed of, and more. And I hope you’re future together holds a love bolder than you’ve ever imagined. Don’t stop being you, ever.

Brittany & Tyler. They were THE best sports ever. It was so hot outside, but it was SO worth it with the images we got. They are getting married in October and I’m absolutely ecstatic about shooting their Victorian style wedding!

After the first part of our shoot, we went over to Morning Glory Farm and did some shots there. Um, THE most gorgeous venue! {a blog post to come on the venue}

We added their sweet baby girl Avery in for a few pictures. At first she had this precious little outfit on. But then Avery realized it was WAY too hot to be wearing clothes :) So the clothes came off and we had one satisfied baby!

Jeffrey + Casey {engaged!}

“These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments
I know all I need is this
I’ve found all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more

-Sara Evans

Can I just take a minute and tell you that couples like this, couples like Casey and Jeffrey, that make me remember why I absolutely LOVE doing this. These two are seriously awesome. They are getting married in October and I can!not!wait! to photograph that gorgeousness.

bustin’ out the sass!

*squeal!* the sun came out for 0.002 seconds, and made the next 2 frames are my favorite of the day :)

As I was getting this shot of Jeffrey, Casey was out beside me dancing and singing:

“If you’ll be my Louisiana
I’ll be your Mississippi
You’ll be my little Loretta
I’ll be your Conway Twitty
You’ll be my sugar baby
I’ll be your sweet iced tea
You’ll be my honeysuckle
I’ll be your honey bee”

highlight of my week :D

OH, this next shot, I wanted it so badly; and as they were standing up there lookin’ all cute, the magic of colors came together. The old curvature of the barn, the dark  rain threatening sky, the green leaves on the tree, and this perfectly adorable couple. Magic, I tell you.

Presh.

C+J – I just love you two.
